How Macintosh Operating System Works?

Mac OS X

    Mac OS X is the operating system that runs on the Mackintosh system which has peculiar and excellent GUI (Graphical User Interface). The central core of the Mac OS X is XNU kernel. XNU kernel is responsible for the control and management of the hardware resources such as processors, storage devices, RAMs etc. It also consists of I/O kit as a part of it. The XNU kernel is developed using specialized version C++ programming language. These drivers allow the peripheral devices and hardware components to interact with the processor.

    The service layer of the Macintosh computer architecture is comprised of core services which makes use of APIs.
