Microsoft SQL Server 2008
Almost all the internet and intranet applications created today require a database. Database has become a real backbone for an application to complete its task. Microsoft Corporation has developed a database management system called Microsoft SQL Server. SQL stands for the term Structured Query Language.
Even though there are high end database
applications available as open source. Microsoft SQL Server database system is
preferred by a large group of business people. Microsoft SQL Server is known
for its data integrity and security.
Drawback
of Microsoft SQL Server 2008
A CAL (Client Access License) is a fee
imposed by Microsoft Corporation to using the databases. The client has to pay
for each processor integrated with the database system. This is a drawback
because the CAL on processor becomes expensive while increasing the processor
power.
