System Boards or Motherboards, being the spine the computer consists of various components. Bus is the basis for communication between all the components of the computer system. This blog page talks about the bus architecture and the essential components available on the computer motherboard.

Bus is the typical signal pathways through which all the devices connected to the computer can send and receive data signals. There are two kinds of buses available in the system board. They are system bus and expansion bus. System buses allow the data exchange between the CPU and other system board components. Expansion buses include buses of various architectures like Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) and Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) that are used for allowing external devices.
