What
is USB?
The
internal and external devices are connected to the computer with the
help of various ports. Traditional ports differ from each other
depending upon the nature of input and output devices. Thus USB
(Universal Serial Bus) is created to support multiple types of input
and output devices in a single port. USP ports are capable of
supporting more than hundred and twenty seven types of peripherals
with the computer.
Versions
of USB:
USB
1.0 – USB 1.0 version is capable of providing data transfer rate of
1.5 MBPS to 12 MBPS
USB
2.0 – USB 2.0 version can allow data transfer rate of 60 MBPS to
480 MBPS between the peripherals and computers.
