USB (Universal Serial Bus)

What is USB?
The internal and external devices are connected to the computer with the help of various ports. Traditional ports differ from each other
depending upon the nature of input and output devices. Thus USB (Universal Serial Bus) is created to support multiple types of input and output devices in a single port. USP ports are capable of supporting more than hundred and twenty seven types of peripherals with the computer.

Versions of USB:

USB 1.0 – USB 1.0 version is capable of providing data transfer rate of 1.5 MBPS to 12 MBPS

USB 2.0 – USB 2.0 version can allow data transfer rate of 60 MBPS to 480 MBPS between the peripherals and computers.

The following are the various salient features of Universal Serial Bus (USB):
High Data Transfer Rate
Flexibility
Easy to use
Easy plug in and plug out
