PC Internet connection configuration

the need for Internet and networking has become inevitable. This blog
teaches how to configure a personal computer for internet connectivity
with few simple steps. (This involves building an Ethernet LAN
Required Tools and Devices:
Ethernet switch
Internet Hub
Step #1 - Connect the Ethernet switch to the internet hub using cross-over cable.
Step #2 - Connect the PCs to the Ethernet switch using three straight through patch cables.
Step #3 - Assign IP address by following below steps
# Go to desktop and right click on My Network Places
# Choose properties
# Right click on LAN (Local Area Network)
# Choose properties
# Select TCP/IP protocol and click on properties
# Just select the radio button "Obtain an IP address automatically"
# Click OK for all the future windows.
Step #4 - Now verify whether the connection is established or not by following steps
# Go to start menu and select Run.
# Enter cmd to open command prompt
# Type ipconfig and press enter.
# If the connection is successfully established the connection details appears on the command prompt.
